We rocked out with Lady Chops!
Children of all ages played the vest frottoir (aka rubboard), spoons, maracas, and various drums. If you missed Lady Chops, check back around Christmas time! She’s coming back for a Christmas Program! Date TBA
We had a blast with Louisiana Snake ID!
If you missed it, we’re hoping to have them back next year as part of Summer Reading!

The Louisiana Workforce Commission (LWC) has launched Tech Ready Louisiana, a free online learning program for local residents.
LWC has developed a partnership with Coursera to create the program. Coursera, one of the world’s largest online learning platforms, works with more than 250 top universities and companies, including Yale University, Columbia University, Microsoft and Google. It offers more than 5,000 courses that provide training for in-demand skills.
Louisianans will have free access to those courses that will help them develop the knowledge and skills needed to find meaningful employment. All courses are online and self-paced so users can work around their busy schedules. Certificates can be earned in three to six months.
To register for Tech Ready Louisiana, residents have to be 18 or older and have to create a HiRE account then register for the course. To learn more about Coursera and the courses it offers, click here.
